Wednesday’s results show averaged just a 1.0 in adults 18-49, the second-lowest regularly scheduled telecast on the network since 1991. That came after the show had the lowest-rated premiere in network history last week. “One” averaged a 1.0 over four performance and results shows. ABC has not yet decided what to slot in its place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The “American Idol” wannabe is the second show ABC has canned this summer, following “How to Get the Girl” earlier this month. Hey, it's the dog days of summer and we all need a diversion! And it also gives them a great excuse to tout Canadian Idol, which airs on CTV and is owned by the same company which publishes The Globe and Mail.
