Clearly, Emmy voters are not doing their job when
Ellen Burstyn gets an Emmy nomination for a 14 second cameo in a TV movie. This Canadian article answers one question I had: who nominated her? (You have to submit a performance. Apparently, it was done by the movie's production company which probably just automatically submitted every name that was eligible.) But here's my other question: why the heck was Burstyn doing a 14 second cameo?
