"Idol" Standout Has Police Record

Thomas Daniels, the Idol contestant with the cool fro who did a great job on Amos Lee's "Arms Of A Woman" has two marks against him: a DUI and a hit and run. No word on if he told producers in advance about this. Given the nature's of the incidents, I would assume it won't be an issue, though the Idol people do NOT enjoy being surprised. Presumably, none of this has anything to do with explaining how a clearly talented standout like Daniels could have auditioned twice before and not made it through.
