"Apocalypto" #1 Per Variety

Variety is the first to name the weekend box office winner and it's Mel Gibson's "Apocalypto" with $14.1 million, just ahead of "The Holiday" at $13.5 million. Popsurfing was right again! Hurrah! "Happy Feet" was third with $12.7 million and "Blood Diamonds" was weak with $8.5 million.
