I'm probably in no position to turn down any money from anyone. But why would the men who heckled Michael Richards and then endured his racist rant want money? Richards has been publicly pilloried and shamed, what little was left of his career is in tatters and they were never publicly identified. So what exactly would they want his money for?

I should have clarified as to their not being seen well in the video that was online. In any case, he was clearly seen as the ass and I can't imagine they felt humiliated or shamed to the point where they would sue for damages. Because he's a dick? It just seemed so tacky when they had the high road to get handed some cash. Hey, here's $50,000 -- sorry about the whole "nigga" thing.
well, these are people who would bother to heckle a comedian, however unfunny. so they're sort of starting out as trash anyway. i expect nothing better...

True, hecklers are pretty bottom-feeding. Almost as bad as people who go to rock concerts and then spend the entire time talking really loudly with their friends. (Can you tell I just went to a concert last night?)
