The 10 Best Books Of The Year
Per the New York Times. And for the first time in memory, I'm ashamed to say I've read NONE of them. I've got about half on my to-do pile, but I'm most interested in "Absurdistan" and the travel book "The Places In Between." I've fallen hard for travel books thanks to the massive audience they enjoy in the UK and the great travel writers they produce. Scotsman Rory Stewart may not want me to link him with the Brits, but his look at Afghanistan after the Taliban fell (for a while) sounds fascinating.
