Overnight TV Ratings

On Friday, Howie Mandel's game show Deal Or No Deal proved mindless fun and a good lead-in for the relocated Las Vegas. Let's see how Vegas does against CBS's regular lineup (it was basketball this weekend) and let's see how Deal does as a regular series. Feels to me like it should remain stunt programming during repeat-heavy months like March and the summer. On Sundays, Grey's Anatomy has fully capitalized on that Super Bowl spotlight to be bigger than ever. Since Desperate Housewives has to face off against The Sopranos, I wouldn't read too much into GA outscoring it in the ratings. As for basketball, it's down just a tad from last year, which is great news since CBS is doing blockbuster business online with people checking in for video feeds, the latest scores and so on. And for some reason, Sunday's special on the WB didn't do well. Could it have something to do with the incredibly dorky name of The Jamm X Kids All Star Dance Special 2? Uh, yeah.
