Greedy Pat Robertson Backs Off On Sharon

The Times of London reports that Pat Robertson has backed off his insensitive and crude comments that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon got what he deserved from God with his life-threatening stroke because he was "dividing" Israel.

Did Robertson have a change of heart because he realized how hurtful and stupid his comments were? Did he change his mind because the public outcry made him realize he'd gone too far? Nope. Robertson backed off the statement because it might derail his planned $50 million dollar theme park -- called Jesusland -- that he was planning for Galilee. (Jesusland? Good Lord.)

Israeli religious leaders have condemned him and the country's tourism head says they want nothing to do with Robertson or anyone who would say God had righteously struck down their country's elected leader. Nice to know Robertson at least worships something wholeheartedly.
