Not one, but two new episodes of "Lost." Sort of. The 8 p.m. episode is pegged as new but seems to be a recap of the survivor stories for both groups of castaways. Other than being told in a linear fashion, it doesn't seem to include much (if any) new material. But fans looking for tiny clues will have to watch anyway. At 9 p.m., a really new episode gives the backstory on the imposing Mr. Eko.
Those who want to truly put their minds on hold should check out "South Beach" on UPN, an empty-headed drama about two dudes making it in the rough and tumble world of South Florida's nightclub scene. It stars former Miss America, the Grammy winning Vanessa Williams. It's nothing, but somehow I found it less objectionable than most of the other new pilots.
