Overnight TV Ratings

"Idol" continues to be a house on fire and the Hollywood section is traditionally the lowest rated part of the season. Squeezing it into one week was the smartest tweak by the producers so far this season. And "House" is a house on fire as well, holding on to a huge chunk of the Idol audience. In the evening news race, Charlie Gibson beat Brian Williams last week for the first time in seven months. Yep, it's only one week but it's a significant victory for that category, where ratings change at a glacial pace. For a complete ratings breakdown, go to MediaWeek's Marc Berman.
