"A Prairie Home Companion"

Some people have never even listened to this charming show. The movie - which isn't nearly as good as any episode you tune into -- is opening in the UK, giving the BBC an excuse to chat with creator Garrison Keillor. For me, the show works best when I'm driving on a trip, suddenly realize it's late Saturday afternoon, turn on the radio and keep changing the dial until I stumble onto a public radio station and listen to the show in progress. Sometimes I even have to switch to a new station when I drive too far away, but that's part of the charm too. If you can't arrange that, you can always listen to the latest episode on streaming audio at their website.
