Jennifer Hudson Disses "Idol"

Why? Hudson says, rather melodramatically,

"On American Idol, you go through this mental thing; you've got to get yourself back together. You've been abused, misled and brainwashed to believe whatever they want you to think," Hudson, 25, tells the new issue of Essence.

Uh, it's just a silly show and the only thng we see is that they're taught they have to work hard, be professional, sing great and think about their image as well as their vocals. Is there anything we don't know about? I don't think so. Is it high-pressure and intimidating and psyche-crushing? Sure. It's also the launchpad that helped Hudson get to where she is today. Brain-washing? That's just silly.
