"Studio 60" Gets Full Season Pickup

It wasn't easy, though. NBC cut the license fee it is paying for the show, reduced the # of guaranteed episodes for the cast by one and refused to commit to where they'll be airing the show come midseason. (I don't see many spots on the schedule for it except maybe Wednesday at 10 p.m. ABC is floundering with "The Nine" while CBS has the much older skewing "CSI: NY," so "Studio 60" could do well there, despite the poor compatiability with lead-in reality show "The Biggest Loser." Meanwhile, "Friday Night Lights" and "30 Rock" still await their fate. NBC has too many holes to plug to dump a show like "FNL" -- it's received great reviews and clearly has a devoted audience.
