NYT Bestseller Lists

Thriller writer Daniel Silva is clearly a "brand name" author: his new Gabriel Allon book debuts at #3. And the book group hit of the year is the Depression Era novel "Water For Elephants." In nonfiction, Bush is definitely losing ground among people who actually know how to read: debuting at #1 is the damning "Fiasco," which joins other reality-based titles like Thomas L. Friedman's "The World Is Flat," (#4) John Dean's "Conservatives Without Conscience," (#7) Ron Suskind's "The One Percent Doctrine," (#8) and Anderson Cooper's "Dispatches From The Edge" (#10). The one blip? Ann Coulter's "Godless" at #5.
