Tom Hanks On A Roll...Sort Of

The clueless NYT does a profile of Tom Hanks and the great work his production company is doing. Hey, I like Tom Hanks and some of his upcoming projects (especially his TV work) look really interesting. But it was pretty foolish of the NYT to peg the story to the debut of the Hanks-produced animated movie "The Ant Bully." It's looked like a flop for weeks (and indeed it was). So doesn't that undercut the article's entire message? Why not save it for a project of his that's at least interesting, even if it wasn't going to be a commercial hit? "Ant Bully" was a flop AND poorly reviewed. By the way, Hanks is still touring baseball parks -- he was at Yankee Stadium on Saturday during that punishing loss.
