Jamie Foxx Hits The Top Of The Pop Charts

His movie "Ray," took its own sweet time to build into a big hit. But actor Jamie Foxx isn't wasting any time when it comes to music. After just two weeks on the charts, Foxx hits Number One with his CD "Unpredictable." (He was kept out of Number One last week by Mary J. Blige.)

Here's betting Foxx has ANOTHER Top Ten hit album by the end of the year -- he's currently filming the musical "Dreamgirls," which has a terrific batch of songs that should send the sountrack into the Top Ten, especially with a cast that includes Foxx and Beyonce (not to mention Eddie Murphy, Mos Def, Heavy D, Danny Glover and "American Idol's" Jennifer Hudson -- who just edged out "American Idol's" Fantasia). Can't wait to see this movie, which is being helmed by "Kinsey" director Bill Condon. They already played a teaser trailer over the holidays, though I believe they used Jennifer Holiday's original version of the show's anthemic "And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going" for the music.

And if that's not enough "American Idol" news for one day, you can also find recent winner Carrie Underwood at Number Five with her debut album, Kelly Clarkson at Number 12 with her four-times platinum hit "Breakaway," and Bo Bice at number 38.

The little band that could is Fall Out Boy, which has two singles in the Top 15 and their platinum album at Number 11, about to re-enter the Top Ten.
