Holocaust Miniseries A Go -- Without Mel Gibson

Disney is still distributing Mel Gibson's movie "Apocalypto." (Though if it's true he won't do press, that would be a waste of time for all concerned.) But their division ABC apparently wants to go forward with that Holocaust miniseries, which is based on the memoir "FLORY: Survival in the Valley of Death." They just want to do it WITHOUT Gibson. Gibson's people are not happy: dropping the project would be less of a slam on Gibson than going forward without him. None of it is official: the book is out of print and won't come back unless the project goes forward.
