Weekend Box Office -- Ricky Bobby Rules

No surprise "Talladega Nights" was a huge hit -- though I am intrigued by everyone referring to "Anchorman" as Will Ferrell's breakthrough a la "The Wedding Singer." I'll have to check it out. And my Kreskin-like abilities faltered: "The Descent" did a little better than expected, but not twice as good, as I predicted. Here's the Top 10:

1. Talladega Nights -- $47 million
2. The Barnyard -- $16 million
3. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest -- $11 mil ($379.7 mil total)
4. Miami Vice -- $9.7 mil ($49.7 mil total)
5. The Descent -- $8.8 mil
6. John Tucker Must Die -- $6.1 mil ($28.6 mil total)
7. Monster House -- $6 mil ($57 mil total)
8. The Ant Bully -- $3.9 mil ($18.2 mil)
9. You, Me And Dupree -- $3.6 mil ($66.8 mil)
10. The Night Listener -- $3.6 mil
