Dave Chappelle Goes Missing (Sort Of)

Boy, talk about driving your fans crazy. Dave Chappelle was scheduled to perform Thursday at the Comedy Festival in Las Vegas. Now he's cancelled; fans can get a refund, of course. Let's hope he's just flaking out rather than something serious being up. He was right to pull the plug on his sketch show -- clearly, the well had run dry. And he has every right to be angry at Comedy Central (and his former costars) for shoveling out those scraps and pretending they were anything but unfunny leftovers. And Dave can of course do whatever he wants for the rest of his life and it's none of our business. But it's a shame to see someone just beginning to explore his talents freeze up like that and walk away.
