Johnny Cash Debuts At #1

A very slow sales week let's the Man in Black have a posthumous triumph: his new album "American Recordings Vol. 5" debuts at #1 on the Billboard charts with 88,000 in sales. (It's the lowest sales total for a #1 album since SoundScan began in 1991.) But who cares? It's Johnny Cash. Just got the Cd today and looking especially forward to his resuscitation of Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind."

Sorry for the minimal postings -- been doing interviews and writing stories all day long. Back tomorrow!
