Surfing Through "The Sopranos"

The lame attempts at metaphysical commentary, via a fellow patient holding forth on physics and how everything is connected, a bizarre scene transition after a tawdry minister tries his stuff (with some odd comment about Israel before the scene faded away), weak humor when a rapper who wants to increase his street cred gets shot in the butt, Uncle Paulie's over-the-top rejection of his mother/aunt and stupid assault on a ski instructor...I remember again why I stopped watching The Sopranos. Good actors, but the scripts are reaching for profundity they don't deserve when they're not foisting on me unearned plot twists. It's more like Six Feet Under than The Wire.
