My Favorite Nazi (Other Than Mel Gibson)

The soprano Elisabeth Schwarzkopf has died. Sure she joined the Nazi Party (something she denied for years and then acted as if it was just a minor nuisance and all that mattered was ART). Wht can I say? She joins Leni Riefenstalh and others who have been forever tainted but still deliver great art. It's her recording of Strauss' Four Last Songs whenever I want to mourn someone's death. Now I'll do it for her and Schwarzkopf will be singing herself to sleep. Hmm, maybe I'll write a final blog entry or two that can go up after I die.
