Primetime Preview

Gone on the days when competitors would roll over and play dead opposite big events like the Grammys. Tonight, we've got a new episode of Lost, Kathleen Turner blowsily streamrolling through Law & Order, a chance to see how much of its lead-in Bones will lose and of course American Idol. Will America prefer amateur singers to the real ones on the Grammys? Oh yeah. The question is, by how much, and will they turn the channel to CBS at 9 p.m. or just go to Lost? If I'm performing tonight, I'd rather come on at 10 p.m.

Late night: Conan has Sigur Ros, Kimmel has Dwight Yoakam (or I wouldn't bother mentioning him at all) and Letterman has Rachel Weisz, Stupid Human Tricks and the Beastie Boys.

Michael, I know Kimmel isn't a great interviewer. And, considering who he's sleeping with (Sarah Silverman, OUCH she's a hot funny Jewess) you could consider him a Lotto winner on many levels. But there's one bit he does that's brilliant, called "Great Moments in Unnecessary Censoring" or something like that. Usually happens on Thurs or Fri, and very funny.
