Overnight TV Ratings -- "Grey's Anatomy" Still Champ

"Grey's Anatomy" beat out "CSI" by a sliver to be the champ of the evening. And "Survivor" shows signs of life as it heads towards the finale. The LA Times looks even sillier for saying "Ugly Betty" is the #1 new hit of the season when it slips even lower in the ratings - off b about 2 million from the LAT claim that it averages 14 mil per week. "Heroes" is the biggest new hit. But how do you rate "ER?" The show was on the ropes last season opposite "Without A Trace." But this year, CBS let it get off the ropes by moving in new drama "Shark." "Shark" is within spitting distance in total viewers but "ER" wins handily in the crucial 18-49 demos. And of course "ER" has to be a self-starter thanks to relatively weak lead-ins compared to years past while "Shark" follows the huge hit "CSI." The real proof in the pudding will be when NBC's "Deal Or No Deal" departs the 9 p.m. slot and "ER" perhaps gets an even weaker lead-in. Will it prove it's not dead or will "Shark" move ahead?
