MoMA Expanding Again

Two minutes after MoMA redesigned its entire space by shutting down for more than a year and hiring a top architect, they're doing it again. No, they're not shutting down, but MoMA is selling off some land to raise money and build an extension with 10,000 more feet of exhibition space, storage, etc. Coming so soon after such a major overhaul, this is a remarkable admission that the redesign has been a flop -- not necessarily in admissions, but in how their art is presented and in flexibility. Surely if they'd thought everything through properly a SECOND expansion with tons of new floor space would be entirely unnecessary if not downright insulting to the architect. I've found the new MoMA very unfriendly for visiting and apparently they realize it.
