Weekend Box Office Preview

Box Office Prophets has all the lowdown on lame new releases like "Alpha Dog," "Stomp The Yard" and "Primeval," as well as the expansion of indie flicks like "Notes On A Scandal" and "Miss Potter." But the real battle is between "Night At The Museum" and "Dreamgirls." They say "Night " will handily remain on top. I bet "Dreamgirls" will finally be the new Number One movie thanks to Golden Globes and "American Idol" hype keeping Jennifer Hudson front and center. Oh and "Stomp The Yard" will do better than $9.5 million because movies that appeal to black audiences almost always out-perform expectations on their first weekend.
