Meat Loaf's "Bat Out Of Hell" came out in 1977. "Bat OUt of Hell II" came out in 1993. And "Bat Out Of Hell III" comes out in October of 2006. So why does everyone keep saying it's 14 years between each album? It's 16 years between the first and the second and 13 years between the second and the third. Okay?
Finally, the BBC quotes a Reuters story where Mr. Loaf seems to say he dropped his $50 million suit against Jim Steinman, which isn't quite the same as "settling" or coming to terms. Still no word on whether he paid Steinman for the rights to the copyrighted "Bat Out Of Hell" title or just paid for the use of it on this album and tour or what. (The BBC, by the way, CAN add since they say it was 16 years between the first two. Thank goodness someone knows how to use a calculator.
