Bob Dylan To Hit Broadway

The new musical "The Times They Are A-Changin'" will open on Broadway October 26. (Previews begin Sept. 25.) Twyla Tharp is in charge. I wasn't a big fan of her Billy Joel musical "Movin' Out," which was essentially a dance piece. (I didn't see the original cast, though.) However, Joel has a lot more in common melodically and lyrically with Broadway and Tin Pan Alley than Dylan, who has NOTHING in common with Broadway or Tin Pan Alley. I'm a big Dylan fan and I certainly hope it works. But it doesn't sound promising.
