Brian Dunkleman Clings To His "Idol" Fame

In a sad bit of news, Brian Dunkleman -- the season one co-host of American Idol -- is trying to latch back on to his 15 minutes of fame. (Dunkleman was paired with Ryan Seacrest to match the Pop Idol hosting dup Ant & Dec, a comedy team of many years standing.) Dunkleman will contribute to www.idolgohome.com, an online fantasy game where Dunkleman will pen a blog giving his "insider, backstage" perspective on all things Idol. Since Dunkleman is now an outsider and couldn't get backstage with a pass, that could prove difficult. At least he has a sense of humor about it. Dunkleman said he had a good reason for doing it:

"I was asked, and they said, 'Hey, we'll pay you to do it.' "
