It reveals that fans and critics weren't the only ones who thought the feud between mother and daughter was a bad idea: apparently star Lauren Graham argued vociferously with the show's creators about the plot twist as well. In news that could affect the future, the new show creator Amy Palladino was creating -- a sort of Tracy-Hepburn romantic comedy with oodles of fast dialogue -- has been summarily cancelled after the merger of the WB and UPN. It still seems she'll be walking away from GG after this season, even though it's almost certain to go one more year (at least).
