Josh Hartnett: Dead Or Alive?
Richboy aka Aaron was walking into a bar a few days ago and bumped into Josh Hartnett and Scarlett Johansson walking out. He said Hartnett looked more handsome in person than on camera and that Scarlett (who he called SoJo, don't ask me why) looked luscious, amazing, "ripe." Then he casually mentioned that Hartnett's career was over. Hard to argue with, given movies like Pearl Harbor, Wicker Park, 40 Days and 40 Nights and Hollywood Homicide. (In the plus column is Black Hawk Down and The Virgin Suicides.) But is he over? Hartnett has three interesting movies out this year. The Independent UK has a feature pegged to Lucky Number Slevin, a gangster flick with Hartnett caught between opposing mob bosses Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman. Then there's Texas Lullaby, a retelling of Hamlet with costars Allison Lohman, John Malcovich and Tom Waits. And finally, the NY Times has a meaty story on The Black Dahlia, a movie based on one of the most famous murders in Hollywood history. Directed by Brian DePalma, it costars Aaron Eckhart, Hilary Swank, Mia Kirshner, and Sojo herself, Scarlett Johansson. Maybe none of them will fly, but never write anyone off. You never know.
