Springsteen On TV Tonight
Check him out in an 8 song set on "Great Performances" tonight at 9 p.m. (That's PBS.) Too bad the one hour show wasn't stretched to two hours. In a rough cut, when Springsteen sings "How Can A Poor man Stands Such Times and Live?", he dedicates the new lyrics referencing Hurricane Katrina to "our President bystander." Too bad they didn't play this on July 4th -- hard to think of anything more patriotic than protest music. If this taped show is one-tenth as fun as the live concert, it should be a blast.
