Muslim Cartoon Outrage: An Update

I wrote about the turmoil (not too strong a word for rioting, withdrawing of ambassadors, etc.) surrounding the publication of political cartoons depicting Muhammad -- which is anathema to Islam. Now the BBC is planning to cover the story tonight and they'll show the cartoons. I guess this means any plan to sell reruns of Absolutely Fabulous to Al Jazeera is on the backburner.

NOTE: Monkeyboy spotted this paragraph on CNN.com:
Muslims consider it sacrilegious to produce a likeness of the Prophet Mohammad. CNN has chosen to not show the cartoons out of respect for Islam.
He adds, Shouldn't that read "...out of fear of Islam?"
