New Murrow Papers Discovered

Some day, I'm going to do a roundup of news stories that seemed suspiciously timed to boost the Oscar or box office chances of a movie. When Jurassic Park came out, scientists just happened to release a study that they'd found preserved dinosaur DNA in amber, the very method the movie posited for recreating dinos. When Deep Impact was coming out, a science story suddenly appeared talking about the asteroids that might target earth. Always seemingly unrelated and always suspicious in my book. Here's the latest: just as Good Night and Good Luck is up for big Oscars, a new stash of Edward R. Murrow's papers is discovered detailing his journalism while covering London during the Blitz. Hmmm.
