Overnight TV Ratings
Friday, Dancing With The Stars drew a crowd looking to see Tia Carrerra get the boot. And don't get too attached to the drama In Justice that follows it -- the legal show loses 45% of Dancing's audience. Saturday is of course valuable property that the three networks foolishly neglect. Sunday was the Super Bowl and nothing but the Super Bowl. Early figures indicate it was down slightly from last year, scoring a 41.8 rating with 86 million viewers. Grey's Anatomy followed with a 22.2 rating and 35 million viewers, but how many of them felt cheated -- like me -- when we found out it was a two-parter? How does Grey's Anatomy compare to past post-game shows? Malcolm in the Middle got 21.4 million viewers in 2002, Survivor: All-Stars had 33.5 million in 2004 and The Simpsons had 23.1 million in 2005. In short, GA got great sampling and was one of the best post-game shows in years. If you're a ratings nut like me, sign up for the daily email from Mediaweek.

I was annoyed that Grey's Anatomy was a cliffhangar. Forcing me to watch the show instead of delivering an episode so good I'd WANT to watch the show. Big difference
