In all the deserved talk of President Gerald Ford's decency, little has been said about his faith. Apparently, Ford was a born again evangelical, but chose not to discuss his faith much publicly. (That's one more reason why he's said to have lost to Carter -- that and his hard stance on NYC costing him New York state, the Nixon pardon and on and on. Of course, the most obvious reason is that he was never elected Vice President OR President so people didn't see him as really "belonging" in the office.)
