Rush And O'Reilly On Air America's Bankruptcy

The NY Daily News asks people whether they think Air America will survive. Bill O'Reilly said, "They're haters and no one listens. They got what they deserved." Rush Limbaugh offers similar words of sympathy. "They just aren't any good. You can't just put idiots on the radio and expect 20 million listeners." The central problem is that Air America built radio shows around people like Al Franken and the now-departed Garofalo, who had never hosted radio in any way, shape or form. It's a skill like any other and it takes time to get good at it. Sadly, just as they may be hitting their stride creatively, time may be running out.
